The course is organized in partnership with Istituzione Casa della Musica of Comune di Parma and will be held in the famous and ancient palazzo Cusani (P.le San Francesco 1, Parma), and in the adjacent labs of LABEL (Electroacoustics Laboratory) and of Casa del Suono |
This Master is an higher education course aimed at preparing workers with specialized skills in the use of electro-acoustic instrumentation and computer applications for the production , post - production and processing of sound, either recorded or live. The Master is also preparing experts of computer and electroacoustic music and multimedia projects concerning sound design and music creation in all areas , ranging from popular music to experimental avant-garde.

The course imparts technical and humanistic training: it is based on one hand on the engineering and acoustics expertise, using resources of the Casa del Suono and the LABEL of Casa della Musica , on the other hand on training in History of Music, music critics and musical sound . The training is similar to that required for the formation of a Tonmeister or a Realizateur Informatique Musicale, requiring sophisticated technical and engineering skills combined with musical training and cultural training for proper handling of sound objects . |
